Blogging has helped my business grow from nothing to something. I would literally have trouble sending traffic to my website if it wasn’t for blogging.
I think that blogging and feeds are a way of the future websites. Instead of just static html websites I think most if not all websites will be blogs where users can generate content and continue to update their site without the help of a web designer.
Blogging make’s it easy to create content and post it to your site without having to get your web guy to do it.
I have grown my traffic exponentially since when I first started by blogging. I have gotten much more search engine traffic and traffic from social media because i’m establishing a community where like-minded people read, learn and grow.
I think that if you want to make money online in the info-product business then it’s important to have a blog. It’s really important to update your website regardless of what business you are in but if you are teaching or educating in any way a blog is almost a must nowdays!
Blogging is much more than just posting content. Most people think that it’s just about creating content and that’s it. End of story.
It’s much more than that. Blogging allows you to build your email list, grow your social media following and become an authority in your market.
It take’s time and effort to cultivate a blog that reaps large amounts of traffic and exposure but if you keep working at it and keep investing into people they will invest back into you, your content and share your blog.
Blogging like I said earlier is more than just creating content.
If you use your blog correctly you will…
* Build a community – Communities are powerful. If you are the one who built the community and has influence over it you can influence the community to buy a product or service, to share your content or to simply keep reading and build a stronger relationship with you and your site. Communities do all of these things and the better you get at building this blog community the better you get at swaying the readers and growing it exponentially.
* Grow your traffic - You literally cannot fail building your online business if you keep blogging. Here’s why… If you continue posting content and delivering value you will get ranked in the search engines naturally because the amount of content you have and the people that link to you. If you keep blogging you keep growing the amount of traffic you get. It’s as simple as that! it’s just being a diligent writer and continuing to give people value.
* Build your following in social media – Social media is extremely important to me because I want to interact and get to know my readers. Social media is great because it allows you to build a better relationship with them, strengthen the community and leverage them to grow into more followers and readers on your blog. Be sure to use social media to connect and share what your doing and not as a one way broadcasting machine.
* Build your email list (subscriber database) – If you’ve been in internet marketing/business for some time now you will know that it’s important to build your email list. Your email list is the most profitable asset to you as an online marketer. By having a blog you can post your opt-in form on the blog or link to your squeeze page where you collect email addresses. Blogging is a great way to build a community, a social media following, your traffic and email list all at the same time.
Blogs are a great way to leverage yourself, your time and influence online so I highly recommend that you use them to the best of your ability! When I first started online I wasn't aware of the power of blogging…Silly me! It took me a while to actually get into it and understand the benefits of blogging. Thanks to your help i've helped grow my following and have been able to develop quite the following!
I was having a meeting the other day with a business owner in Buffalo and was sharing my input on how necessary a blog is in building his business. He understood that it was important but didn't quite understand the true power behind having your own personal blog!
