Email marketing is new.
It’s different. The main difference between email marketing and direct mail is it doesn’t cost money each time you send a message.
for instance…
If you were to send a direct mail piece to 1,000 people you would spend $420 in postage alone.
42 cent stamps do add up a little bit I guess! Plus you’ll have to pay for envelopes, printing, and then spend countless hours putting it all together. I don’t know how many hours this would take but I’m sure it takes a few.
So with direct mail your spending around $450 with postage and printing costs. With email marketing your going to be spending No more than $20 a month to email up to 10,000 people as many times as you want! If you weigh the fraction you’ll find that email marketing is more cost effective than direct mail. You get more marketing dollars with email.
The other advantage to email marketing is you can have a link to a website or blog in your email promotion.
So if you have a website for your business you can send them to your website and they can just order online without bothering you, It’s really nice because it’s automated.
The other thing is with an email marketing autoresponder you can put your messages in and if someone opts-in to your newsletter they’ll get the whole newsletter series automatically!
So if you create a 20 message newsletter, They will receive all 20 emails in whatever increments you decide. It’s a highly effective way to market your product, service, business, or just for branding purposes.
