I’m fortunate enough to be able to read “Don’t read this until you want to make more money” before it was even released! Dov is a friend of mine so I really appreciate him and what an amazing book this is!

I want to write about the book “Don’t read this unless you want to make more money” today. It was written by Dov Baron and you can follow him on twitter at @DovBaron.

The book was really great, I thought when I first started reading it that it may just be another book about wealth, abundance and the law of attraction but it had only some of that but so much more!
Dov take’s things that you may have learned and helps you get them.  He wants you to make senses of it! (Senses meaning to understand on more than one level)

The book broke down so many principles and characteristics and mindsets of the rich.  It is really packed with great information and I’m going to share with you some of the lesson’s that I learned from it in this post.

One of the coolest things that I learned from this book was actually not about wealth or money at all.  The thing I learned that I really loved was the difference between these two mindsets when meeting people.

Some people ask: “What can this person do for me?” and others ask “What can I do for this person?”

Now I think in some regard we ask both of those questions in our mind in someway hopefully but we probably focus on one more than the other.  I realized that I focused on “What can this person do for me?” More than “What can I do for this person?” it’s a common thing to do because we as entrepreneurs want to get to the next level and grow our business.

The best way to grow your business is to give to people and invest into them.  By doing this they ask “What can I do for this person?” and this time that person is guess who? YOU!

You will have people giving to you left and right if you start giving to them and helping them however you can.  That is a great way to start a relationship.  We all know that the people that help and support and show us the most love are the people we want to give back to most, it’s reciprocation.  So go out and meet people and ask yourself “What can I do for this person?” and do it for them.

The more of that you do the better off your business will be, simple as that.

Another awesome lesson I learned from the book is “Self esteem” vs. “Self worth”

Self esteem is the way people see you externally and self-worth is your intrinsic value.  Self esteem is important but self worth is even more valuable because it determines how much value you have and how much value you deliver in the marketplace.

We all know that we get paid in direct proportion to the amount of value we deliver,  one of the things Dov covers in this book very well is increasing your value.

I truly loved this book, I actually could not put it down after I started reading it.  I stayed up until 3 a.m. to finish it!

He covers so many topics and ties them all into becoming affluent and living a wealthy abundant life, things like abundance, gratitude and so many other topics tie into this and he brings them all together so beautifully.

He talks about overcoming your fear and uncovering your value by doing some simple exercises, I cannot recommend the book enough if you are serious about becoming affluent, abundant and living a happy, healthy, wealthy and extraordinary life.

I really loved this book and I loved how it covered some of the law of attraction and wealth mindset stuff in more detail.

It covered the basicas but then shared with you practical how to information to change including several exercises which I absolutely loved.
