Unmistakable qualities of a Leader

in Leadership

In Life and business I think that it is extremely important to be a leader.  To set yourself apart and be independent instead of dependent.

We are raised to be dependent on our parents, then to be dependent on ourselves eventually but it takes too long! Even then we still depend on the government and our parents for certain things.

Independence is so much better than being dependent because you rely fully on yourself, you become a true leader once you are Independent.

If you look at a full-time employee vs. a full-time entrepreneur you will quickly see that one is dependent and the other is independent.

Here are some of the top leadership qualities of a leader that you want to have if you want to be a unmistakable leader.

Independent – If you have to rely on someone else for your paycheck or for anything really your not truly independent.  Eventually I want to be completely independent where I have no energy bill and everything that i need is on my property, that’s just another level I guess!

Great Communicator – Great communication skills is a huge quality of a leader.  Leaders are some of the best communicators in the world, the secret to being a great communicator is really being a great listener.  If you can learn to listen your communication ability will be at a whole new level.

Putting people first – This is a huge one, putting people first distinguishes the leader from the “Boss”.  When you put people first and you are personable you will be seen as a leader.  Can you think of any great leaders that put their business first? chances are they were a “boss” and not a true Leader.  True leaders put people first and that is why everything they do thrives.

A strong vision – Leaders have a strong vision for their team and they aren’t easily distracted, they are focused hard working people that will make that vision a reality and they know it.

Team Builders – Building a team takes time to learn and it really only comes with experience but over time you will get better at building your team and your business or organization will operate as a team instead of a one man business.  Teams yield much greater results, their synergy flows and work is created not forced.  When you have an amazing team everything works together and flows and supports other parts of the project and team.  Great Leaders are extremely effective at building teams and bringing people together.

There are so many great qualities that a leader has and can have but these are just a few to develop in yourself.

It’s not easy to be a leader, but something that most of us are admiring and hope to become in our respective fields. I dare not to say I’m qualified to be a leader at this point, but it’s my goal to be prepared for it. Thanks for all the points given, encouraging and something to look forward to during our life training.
